Swimming Carnival

Th students in the senior section (Years 4 - 6) of our swimming carnival delighted spectators with close competition and a wonderful display of sportsmanship. The day was filled with high-energy and enthusiasm and plenty of good lucks and good-on-you-mates.

We would like to thank the parents who volunteered their time to assist with various jobs and all of the staff for your hard work with organisation before and during the carnival. It was great to witness the St Francis Xavier community coming together to create an atmosphere of fun, enjoyment and encouragement for our students.

Congratulations to the DINGOES team for winning overall points and to the following students on winning AGE CHAMPION in their respective age groups.

Protecting Children is Everybody’s Business - Play Your Part”

At St Francis Xavier, keeping children safe is a priority. We educate the students on matters of cyber-safety, who to go to if your personal safety is threatened and through the support of our brilliant adopt-a-cop, Sgt Helen. There are posters in learning areas identifying the Student Protection Officers. I also speak with the students at the beginning of the year about personal safety when it comes to physical, emotional, sexual or cyber abuse.

Below are links to a number of resources for your perusal on child protection. These documents are also in the school office. I would urge parents to take time to discuss this issue with the children.
